General Laborer @ Aerotek

Job Title: General LaborerJob DescriptionJoin a growing manufacturing team as a General Laborer, where you build internal conduit structures, support the concrete casting process, and help produce highquality precast units. In this role, you prepare and assemble materials, operate hand and power tools, and work in a fastpaced environment that values safety, quality, and consistent performance.

Responsibilities

• Build internal conduit structures according to specifications and production requirements.
• Oversee the concrete casting process to help ensure concrete is poured correctly and consistently.
• Clean and prepare steel forms to specification before each pour.
• Cut and join PVC conduits while maintaining proper spacing and alignment.
• Fabricate and secure cages and assemblies to reinforce concrete units.
• Install anchors and pins into units as required by production drawings and quality standards.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete daily tasks.
• Perform physical labor throughout the shift, including lifting, carrying, and positioning materials.
• Read and use a tape measure accurately to cut, place, and verify materials.
• Keep up with the pace of production while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines in a busy manufacturing environment.
• Assist with basic material handling tasks, including moving units and components as needed.
• Support concrete pours and postpour cleaning to prepare bays for the next production cycle.

Essential Skills

• Experience in general labor in a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Comfort using hand and power tools as needed throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, potentially hundreds of times per day.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout a large facility for long periods.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
• Ability to keep up with a fastpaced production environment while meeting quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure units are built to specification and quality requirements.
• Willingness to work in a dusty, dirty, nonclimatecontrolled manufacturing facility.
• Commitment to following safety protocols and maintaining a safe work area.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous concrete or precast labor experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with concrete work, precast concrete, or related trades is a plus.
• Overhead crane experience is a plus.
• Forklift experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to adapt to flexible shift times based on unit orders and performance.
• Comfort working night or early morning shifts as needed by production demands.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a 200,000squarefoot manufacturing facility that is not climatecontrolled and can be dusty and dirty due to ongoing concrete pours. Trucks pull into the bays to deliver concrete, and new equipment will be added over time. Orientation typically takes place at 8:00 a.m., usually on Monday following a group interview, with flexibility to adjust if needed. Shift times are flexible based on employee performance and unit orders. Day shift options depend on the bay assignment, with start times at 4:00 a.m. or 5:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, and shifts will not exceed 10 hours unless mandatory; at least 8 hours are available if the employee wants them.

Night shift starts no later than 8:00 p.m., beginning Monday night and ending early Saturday morning, with similar limits on shift length and guaranteed hours. Shifts end once units are built and approved and concrete pours and cleaning are completed. There are currently about 60 employees on the floor, with plans to grow to around 80 in the next three months. Safety is a major focus, and employees are expected to follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate work attire suitable for a heavy industrial, concrete manufacturing environment.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Massillon, OH.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $85000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Piece rate pay opportunity after first week of training (rates depend on size of pieces and builds but typically will average to a $26-$27 rate

Flexible schedule as long as employees are keeping up with what they need to do - if an employee completes their builds for the day they are free to leave if they want

Employees are eligible for a full benefits package after 90 days (vision/medical/dental)

Will have 401k offering in 2027

Duct Bank One is in growth mode and employees have the opportunity to join now and build

Company does not do layoffs in the winter
