General Production Worker @ Aerotek

Job Title: General Production WorkerJob DescriptionAs a General Production Worker, you will rotate through various roles including Tray Scraper, Cupper, Picker, and Handpacker. Each role involves maintaining high standards of hygiene and efficiency in a food manufacturing environment. You will contribute to the smooth operation of the production line by ensuring product quality and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Wear and maintain gloves in a sanitary manner, changing them as you rotate tasks.
• Supply cups for all cup setter magazines and clear cup paper stuck on cupsetter heads.
• Scrape trays and keep the cupsetter area clean.
• Ensure correct cup paper size for the product and verify each tray cavity receives one cup paper.
• Notify appropriate personnel of missing cup papers and reposition or replace incorrect or damaged cup papers.
• Clean Tonnaer screw when the line is down for one shift or longer.
• Remove defective products from the inspection belt and handle product jams efficiently.
• Perform metal detection checks regularly and maintain cleanliness of metal detection probes.
• Start and stop the main line when necessary and reset the main line after a wrapping stop.
• Fill cases with required number of bags, ensuring correct positioning and monitoring bag seal integrity.
• Rotate through stations promptly, fill and seal cases, perform quality tracking, and record case counts.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production, general labor, packaging, food production, and food manufacturing.
• Ability to work both 2nd and 3rd shifts, with initial training on 1st shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Steel-toed or composite-toed shoes are required.
• Must wear pants (jeans without rips are acceptable), hair net/beard net, jacket (provided), hard hat, and gloves.
• Jewelry is not allowed. No hoodies; long sleeves are okay but cannot roll the sleeves up.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
