Job DescriptionThe Forklift Operator safely operates a sit-down forklift to load trailers and handle materials within a busy warehouse environment. This role focuses on efficient shipping and receiving, accurate inventory handling, and smooth logistics operations, requiring strong attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a sit-down forklift to move, load, and unload materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load trailers according to shipping schedules and safety procedures.
- Help with shipping and receiving by loading, unloading, and staging products.
- Move, stack, and organize inventory in the warehouse.
- Assist with daily warehouse operations to ensure products are moved and shipped on time.
- Follow warehouse procedures to keep inventory accurate and organized.
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report any equipment or safety concerns.
- Follow all warehouse safety rules and wear required PPE.
- Work with other team members to meet daily goals and deadlines.
- Be flexible during busy seasons, including working overtime when needed.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 3 years of sit-down forklift experience
- Experience loading and unloading trailers
- Shipping and receiving experience
- Material handling and inventory experience
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to provide a reference verifying forklift experience

- Experience working in warehouse shipping operations.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment, where temperatures may vary depending on the season.
The standard schedule is first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime on Saturdays of approximately 6 hours. During busy seasons, you will work 10-hour days to meet operational demands. You will primarily operate a sit-down forklift and work around typical warehouse equipment and materials. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
