Order Picker @ Aerotek

Job Title: Order PickerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking and preparing orders for shipment, ensuring that all products meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders to pick the correct products and quantities.
• Locate and retrieve materials throughout the warehouse efficiently.
• Use handheld scanners and basic computer systems to track orders and inventory.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Verify picked items for accuracy before shipment.
• Package, label, and stage completed orders for shipping.
• Assist with inventory counts, stocking, and product rotation.
• Inspect materials for damage or quality issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and staging area.
• Follow all warehouse and safety procedures.
• Lift, push, pull, and carry materials throughout the shift.

Essential Skills

• Experience with picking and using RF scanners.
• Ability to accurately follow order tickets and work instructions.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with handheld scanners.
• Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
• Experience with warehouse equipment operation, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Vernon, IL.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
