Job Title: Construction CleanupJob DescriptionJoin a leading international provider of critical environmental cleaning services, responsible for construction and final cleaning services of the QTS Data Center in Cedar Rapids, IA. This position involves working in a dynamic construction environment, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
Responsibilities
- Clean all exposed interior surfaces within the construction area from floor to building deck above.
- Perform tasks such as mopping, wiping, vacuuming, and brushing surfaces to remove dust and dirt.
- Utilize scissor lifts, boom poles, brooms, and towels for cleaning hard-to-reach areas.
- Be alert and aware while working around ongoing construction activities.
- Pressure wash outside panels, generator coverings, and flooring once installed.
- Work involves standing, kneeling, bending, and using ladders.
Essential Skills
- Experience in construction, cleaning, and general labor.
- Understanding of working alongside other trades and operating heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of environmental remediation and use of hand tools.
- 1+ years of experience in a laborious role.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Valid driver's license.
- Able to stand for 10+ hours a day.
Why Work Here? This long-term project is estimated to last another 10 years, providing a stable opportunity with potential for travel after project completion. Work EnvironmentWork hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with potential overtime due to construction demands. The first day starts at 5:30 am with orientation. A 30-minute unpaid lunch is provided, and contractors are encouraged to pack a lunch with an ice pack as there are no fridges, though microwaves are available. The average workweek is 42 hours, with occasional Saturday work. Dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, and work-appropriate shirts provided by the contractor, alongside ANSI-Z89 hard hats, ANSI-Z87 safety glasses, ANSI safety vests with reflective tape, and Level 2-4 cut-resistant gloves provided by the client unless contractors have their own. Work is primarily indoors (90%) but includes outdoor tasks (10%), requiring adaptability to various weather conditions. Contractors will work in teams of 4-5, emphasizing teamwork. The site includes a 10-minute walk from the parking lot to the guard shack for daily check-in.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
