Aerotek is hiring for an Automation Technician 1st or 2nd shift! Job DescriptionAs an Automation Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the production equipment and processes. Your duties include the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility machinery. You will collaborate with the mechanic supervisor to establish mechanical policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to specified SOPs while demonstrating safe and effective mechanical practices.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair facility machinery, including positive displacement fillers, pressure gravity fillers, shrink bundlers, labelers, and other production machinery.
- Complete line changeovers and participate in company initiatives and standardization programs.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility production machinery.
- Install and maintain production machinery, including Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), programmable logic controls (PLCs), and VFDs, AC/DC motors.
Essential Skills
- Expertise in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience with automation, installation, maintenance, and repairs.
- Knowledge of Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), programmable logic controls (PLCs), and VFDs.
- Proficiency in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, plumbing, carpentry, piping systems, welding, and PLC programming.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Proficiency with computer programs such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook
Work EnvironmentWork within a manufacturing production facility equipped with high-speed production machines and extrusions. The position offers two shifts: 1st shift from 6am-2:30pm and 2nd shift from 2:00pm-12am Monday through Friday, with opportunities for overtime.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of East Stroudsburg, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $58240.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
