Assembler
Job DescriptionJoin our team as an Assembler for our facilities where we manufacture large HVAC units. This position is on the 1st shift, running from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with voluntary overtime and occasional mandatory overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform repetitive assembly work at one of the designated stations, with training provided based on production needs.
- Assemble large air conditioning units for commercial buildings, including apartment complexes and hospitals.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools daily to assemble various components.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in safety training during the first week.
- Engage in brazing, soldering, operating machines and presses, and perform quality checks and tests once fully trained.
- Report any malfunctions or defects to the production supervisor.
- Learn to understand and interpret blueprints.
- Assist in assembling components by getting inside units, demonstrating the size and complexity of the units.
Essential Skills
- 6 months of manufacturing experience.
- Physically inclined, able to bend, twist, and lift up to 40 lbs repetitively.
- Comfortable with climbing into units for assembly purposes.
- Good attitude and willingness to learn with training provided from the ground up.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 1 year of assembly experience.
- Experience with hand tools and power tools.
- Electrical experience.
- Mechanically inclined with mechanical aptitude.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kentwood, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
