Hiring Welders in Manchester / York PA Area!
Pay: $25-35/hr (Based on Experience & Weld Test)Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6am - 4:30pm (Plus OT)
Job Overview
Aerotek is hiring experienced Field MIG Welders for a large warehouse restoration project in the York area. Candidates will perform structural steel repairs and reinforcement on beams, columns, and supports throughout an active facility. This position requires extensive overhead and vertical MIG welding while working from boom lifts and scissor lifts.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural MIG welding on steel beams, columns, supports, and connections
- Complete overhead, vertical, and horizontal welds to specifications
- Operate boom lifts, JLG lifts, and scissor lifts while working at heights
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and structural drawings
- Grind, fit, align, and prepare materials for welding
- Inspect completed welds and perform repairs as needed
- Utilize fabrication equipment including grinders, magnetic drills, and torches
- Follow all hot work permits, fall protection requirements, and site safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of structural MIG welding experience
- Experience welding structural steel, including beams and columns
- Ability to perform overhead and vertical welds
- Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
- Comfortable working at heights from boom lifts and scissor lifts
- Ability to pass a structural MIG weld test
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
