FCAW Welder (6-Month Project)

Job Overview

We are currently seeking experienced FCAW Welders for a 6-month project focused primarily on multi-pass fillet welding on structural steel beams. Key Responsibilities

• Perform multi-pass fillet welds on structural steel beams.
• Set up, adjust, operate, and shut down welding equipment as required.
• Complete Flux Core (FCAW) and Metal Core welding to company and customer specifications.
• Read and interpret weld symbols, blueprints, drawings, and verbal instructions.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and compliance standards are met.
• Complete all required production and quality control documentation.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to workplace policies and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all job-specific work instructions and procedures.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of FCAW welding experience.
• Ability to successfully obtain and maintain CWB welding certifications.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality work.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently with moderate supervision and collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Work Environment

• Working in a large manufacturing and jobbing shop environment.
• Exposure to moving mechanical equipment, vibration, and potential electrical hazards.
• Fast-paced fabrication setting with multiple welding stations.
• Regular exposure to loud noise from grinders, hammering, and overhead crane activity. Appropriate hearing protection is provided and required.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workspace while following all company safety procedures.

Shift Options

Day Shift

• Monday to Friday
• 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Afternoon Shift

• Monday to Thursday
• 3:00 PM - 1:30 PM

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
