SHIFT

$20+ /HR. - CAN START ASAP. The Wax Packer works on a regulated wax production line, weighing and packaging wax products in a clean room environment. This role focuses on efficient, high-quality packaging of small wax pellets into bags and boxes, following strict work instructions and quality standards while supporting continuous workflow on the production line.

Responsibilities

• Work on the wax production line to weigh wax accurately and package it into the appropriate bags, containers, and boxes.
• Operate the hopper via foot pedal to fill bags with small wax pellets, ensuring correct fill levels and weight for each package.
• Fold and seal the tops of bags using small wires, performing repetitive packaging tasks with consistency and care.
• Hand load the appropriate raw material for the next wax load according to the production schedule.
• Perform tasks efficiently with minimal wasted time or materials while maintaining high productivity on the production line.
• Ensure completed assignments comply with predetermined quality standards for the machinery, equipment, and packaging processes used.
• Conduct basic quality control testing and inspection of packaged products to verify accuracy, labeling, and overall product quality.
• Follow detailed work instructions and workflow diagrams to complete tasks in the correct sequence and manner.
• Maintain continuous workflow on the production line by coordinating tasks and keeping materials organized and ready for use.
• Support labeling and boxing activities, including packing finished products into cartons and preparing them for storage or shipping.
• Handle lifting and movement of boxes and packaged products, adhering to safety practices and weight limits.
• Continually develop skills and knowledge of the product base and packaging processes to improve performance over time.

Essential Skills

• At least 6 months of experience in a production or production line environment.
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds safely and repeatedly as part of packaging and boxing duties.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift while working at a production workstation.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English to follow work instructions, safety guidelines, and quality procedures.
• Comfort working in a repetitive, fast-paced packaging environment with consistent manual tasks.
• Attention to detail for accurate weighing, labeling, and quality inspection of packaged products.
• Basic ability to inspect products and packaging for quality and compliance with standards.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, IL.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.50 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
