Sales Engineer @ Actalent

DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Manage and grow existing customer base by working with customer engineers to provide the best product to meet expectation.
• Aggressively develop new customers, new applications and new market segments Understand application aspects of the products in order to make and effective sales presentation and demonstration aimed at completing the sales process.
• Understand product technical specifications, fan fundamentals, and various manufacturing and quality processes for customer design assistance on product selection and function.
• Monitor competition activity Keep current with product changes to maintain knowledge to provide satisfactory customer service.
• Continually improve individual technical and business skills attending in-house and third party training.
• Work with sales representatives and distributors to generate new sales.
• Solve technical product issues from customers over the phone.
• Provide customers with fast and efficient telephone support.
• Develop and maintain technical document files.
• Conduct technical training on products to customers and the sales network.
• Assist as directed in the training of newly hired service engineers and other Sanyo associates.

• Experience with CAD and ProE software a plus.
• Knowledge of fluid mechanics and heat transfer fundamentals preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BSEE or BSME required.
• Understanding of basic applications knowledge pertaining to cooling or thermal products.
• Valid drivers license.
• Must be computer literate, proficient with IBM PC and software (word processing, graphics, spreadsheets, etc.).
• Working knowledge of policies and programs that directly affect job responsibilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.meEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree (B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university in engineering.
• Requires 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Operational computer skill to communicate via email, to operate basic application package software such as CAD, MS-Word MS-Excel, MS-Power point is required.
