About this role
- Ensure public rooms are kept to Holland America Line cleanliness and maintenance standards.
- Supervises team members assigned to public areas and Night Steward teams where applicable.
- Supervision of Public Areas and other related housekeeping duties as assigned.
- Assign work, monitor and supervise public rooms cleaning teams by ensuring that team members work effectively in accomplishing tasks to meet the quality level and standards of the company.
- Effectively supervise public rooms cleaning teams by providing ongoing coaching, guidance, training, and correction through good communication, motivation, and demonstration.
- Maintain accurate and up‐to‐date recordkeeping, to include but not limited to public rooms inspections, maintenance reports, and carpet shampoo schedules.
- Report Housekeeping equipment repairs needed and follow up on job orders to ensure satisfactory completion.
- Prepare any other paperwork as required by Deck Manager and / or Executive Housekeeper.
