- Monday-Friday
- 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Location
- Initially floating between Internal Medicine and Primary Care Northshore (same building)
- Training provided at both the front desk and clinical areas
- By November, primarily assigned to Primary Care Northshore
- Will assist with coverage for multiple maternity leaves
Position Overview
Join a busy Primary Care clinic and work directly alongside a physician, supporting patient care through both clinical and administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out
- Order laboratory tests and coordinate follow-up care
- Answer incoming patient calls
- Prepare and stock exam rooms
- Perform Point-of-Care (POC) testing
- Refill medications as directed
- Document and manage patient information within the EMR system
- Support general clinic and office operations
Qualifications
Required
- Previous Medical Assistant experience
- Comfortable working in a clinical setting
- Ability to work independently
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt
Preferred
- Experience working in a physician office or clinic
- Knowledge of Cerner/PowerChart
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Knoxville, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
