Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) – Manufacturing
Wakefield | £50,000–£55,000 | Permanents Nights (Monday–Wednesday, 6:30pm–6:30am)

Responsibilities of a Maintenance Engineer
- Respond immediately to machinery breakdowns to minimise production downtime
- Carry out preventative maintenance in line with the scheduled plan
- Liaise with the Manager to compile and deliver an improvement list for site equipment, keeping machinery up to date
- Maintain accurate spare parts stock levels to minimise disruption to production
- Work with other members of the maintenance team on projects to improve the factory
- Ensure PLC software and programmes are kept current and up to date across all machinery
- Arrange and manage statutory examinations, including PAT testing and high-voltage (HV) examinations, using external contractors where required
- Provide daily reports detailing work completed and any upcoming issues
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping across internal and external areas
What We’re Looking For
- Level 3 qualification in Maintenance Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a maintenance role
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills within a manufacturing environment
- Experience carrying out preventative maintenance and responding to machinery breakdowns
- PLC knowledge
