The Opportunity

We are working with an exciting and growing business looking to recruit a commercially focused Finance Business Partner to join its finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders, influencing commercial decisions and using financial insight to drive business performance. The role offers a varied mix of FP&A, financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and business partnering, with the opportunity to make a genuine impact across the business.

You will work closely with the Head of Finance, CEO, COO, CMO and wider sales, operations and event teams, providing financial insight to support pricing strategies, profitability, investment decisions and future growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business partner with senior stakeholders and operational teams, providing financial insight to support commercial decision making.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting activities, monitoring performance against budgets and identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support pricing decisions, revenue forecasts, scenario planning and investment appraisals.
  • Analyse sales performance, revenue trends, customer retention and commission structures to identify opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Provide detailed financial analysis and meaningful commentary on business performance, translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Support pricing strategies through rate card reviews, yield analysis and price and volume modelling.
  • Partner with event and operational teams to manage budgets, track costs and ensure financial performance remains on target.
  • Prepare financial models and budgets for new events, projects and business initiatives.
  • Manage the monthly sales commission process, including cancellations, adjustments and reconciliations between CRM and accounting systems.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools to improve visibility of financial performance across the business.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, automate and improve existing finance processes.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider finance team to improve reporting, forecasting accuracy and the quality of commercial insight available to senior leadership.

About You

We are keen to speak with candidates who combine strong financial and analytical skills with a commercial mindset and the confidence to build relationships across a business.

You will ideally have

  • Experience in a Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance or FP&A role.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling skills, with advanced Excel capability.
  • Experience analysing revenue, costs, margins, sales performance and key business KPIs.
  • A track record of working closely with non finance stakeholders and influencing commercial decisions.
  • The ability to challenge assumptions constructively and turn financial analysis into practical recommendations.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast paced, evolving business.
  • Experience working across multiple entities or currencies.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to present financial information to senior stakeholders.

An accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or equivalent experience, would be beneficial but they are also open to candidates who are not qualified but have a strong skill set and experience in similar roles.

Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to join a business where finance plays a key role in shaping commercial strategy, rather than simply reporting on historical performance. The role will initially be for 3 months but with a strong possibility to go permanent.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, influence pricing and investment decisions, improve financial processes and help the business make informed decisions that support its continued growth.

If you are a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys business partnering, financial analysis and making a tangible difference, we would love to hear from you.
