About this role
KYGunCo is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Part-Time Cashier to work Fridays and Saturdays in a retail firearms environment. Responsibilities include processing customer transactions accurately, providing friendly and professional customer service, answering general questions, maintaining an organized checkout area, and assisting with daily store operations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a professional attitude, with a commitment to following all company policies and applicable firearms regulations.
Position responsibilities
- Greet customers
- Process checkout operation, Complete required paperwork, and data entry services
- Accept all forms of payment (cash, check, credit card)
- Calculate and return change when required
- Process and complete layaways/special orders
- Answer customers questions about products or services
- Check source documents for accuracy
- Reconcile cash drawers / Sales receipts
- Assist in stocking and rotating merchandise
- Work as a team to offer the best customer service
Knowledge and Skills
- Must be computer savvy; must know how to type, use Microsoft office proficiently, and be willing to learn new programs.
- Must be able to multi-task, VERY Important.
- Retail/Customer Service experience is a plus
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
- Must be able to work in team environment.
- Must be 18 or older
- Clean background, background check will be done.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
