HGV Mechanic – Full-Time, Permanent Company: M McGuire Haulage Limited, Location: Dublin Rd, Cloghabrody, Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny, R95 NC83 Salary: €36,605 per annum.
Hours: 39 hours per week Contract: Permanent M McGuire Haulage Limited is seeking an experienced and reliable HGV Mechanic to join our team at our depot in Dublin Rd, Cloghabrody, Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny. This is a full-time, permanent position offering long-term employment, a competitive salary, and the opportunity to work in a professional and well-equipped workshop environment. Key Duties Service, maintain, and repair HGVs and trailers Carry out CVRT preparation, diagnostics, and fault-finding Respond to defect reports and rectify mechanical issues efficiently Complete routine and non-routine repairs to a high standard Work closely with the transport team to minimise vehicle downtime Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety regulations, RSA standards, and company procedures Maintain accurate service and maintenance records Assist and support junior staff when required Requirements National Craft Certificate / City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) Minimum of 3 years’ post-apprenticeship experience Experience with HGVs or heavy vehicle maintenance is an advantage Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills Good organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to work safely, efficiently, and as part of a team Good level of English (spoken and written) This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a committed and skilled HGV Mechanic seeking stable employment with a reputable transport company.
