About the Role
Our client is seeking a reliable, hardworking and practical Truck Driver & Shed Installer. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and installing steel sheds, garages and other outdoor structures at customers’ properties. This is a hands-on role combining professional driving with physical installation work. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, deliver excellent customer service and work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and drive a truck to deliver sheds and building materials to customer locations.
- Load, secure, transport and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Install and assemble steel sheds, garages and other outdoor structures on site.
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete installations to a high standard.
- Work as part of an installation team to ensure projects are completed safely and on schedule.
- Follow delivery schedules, site instructions and health and safety procedures.
- Ensure materials, tools and equipment are handled and maintained properly.
- Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues.
- Keep the vehicle, tools and work areas clean, tidy and organised.
- Complete relevant delivery paperwork and report any issues encountered on site.
- Essential Requirements Full, valid Category C driving licence is essential.
- Previous experience in truck driving, construction, shed installation or a similar hands-on role is an advantage.
- Good practical skills and confidence using hand and power tools.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling and outdoor work.
- Strong awareness of road safety and workplace health and safety.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking, with a positive attitude.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
