Job Title: Motor Trade Paint Preparation Technician
Job Description
- We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paint Preparation Technician to join our team in the Coach and Bus Painting industry.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing vehicles and components for painting, ensuring a high-quality finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, and mask surfaces to prepare for paint application.
- Repair minor dents, scratches, and imperfections using fillers and sanding techniques.
- Equipment Handling: Operate and maintain sanding tools, and other preparation equipment.
- Clean and maintain tools and work areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Quality Control: Inspect surfaces before and after preparation to ensure high-quality standards.
- Address defects and inconsistencies promptly.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure proper ventilation and handling of hazardous materials.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in vehicle preparation or a similar role in the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of sanding, and masking techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a body shop or automotive repair center.
- Salary: Competitive, €30K-€35K based on experience.
Working Hours: Full-time, with potential for overtime.
