After School Club Assistant
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To support Belleville Wix’s after school club provision. This will involve supporting children to participate in engaging and enriching activities and making sure they follow relevant policies and procedures to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
ROLE DETAILS
Salary: Scale 1, Spine Point 2, FTE £29,805
Hours: School term time only, 12.50 hours per week., Monday to Friday 3pm -5.30pm. In addition, you will need to attend some training or briefing sessions (you will be given advance notice and paid accordingly).
Location: : Belleville Wix Academy, Wix Lane, SW4 0AJ. May occasionally be required to visit other Q1E school sites.
Contract type: Permanent.
Reporting to: Q1E Director of Finance

You will support children to participate in engaging and enriching activities, and make sure they follow relevant policies and procedures to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
The role will involve:
Providing care for the children attending the programme, supervising them during activities and when eating, and ensuring they feel safe and looked after at all times. Encouraging positive behaviour (“Making the Right Choices”), independence and self-esteem. Making sure equipment is set up, used, maintained and put away safely. Ensuring the safe transfer of children from class to after school club and collection from after school club.You will have:
experience of working with children of primary school age an understanding of good quality childcare an understanding of safeguarding and child protection duties the ability to engage children in fun and developmental activities empathy, sensitivity and great communication skills high expectations of yourself and others.
