We are recruiting a part‑time after school club assistant to support the delivery of a safe, engaging, and inclusive after school provision for children aged 4–11. This role is ideal for candidates seeking school support staff jobs, education assistant roles, or childcare work within a primary school setting.

Working closely within the afterschool club and wider school team, you will help create a positive environment where children feel safe, supported, and motivated outside of normal school hours.

Location: Locking Primary School

Hours: 12 hours 30 minutes per week

Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 3:15pm – 5:45pm, term time only

Interview date: 15 June 2026

Key Responsibilities

Support the planning and delivery of after‑school activities and creative playSupervise children and ensure a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environmentCollect pupils from classrooms and assist with snacks and drinksSet up, pack away, and safely store play equipment and resourcesMaintain positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and staffSupport accurate attendance and departure recordsReport any safeguarding, behaviour, or health and safety concerns in line with school policyFollow all school, trust, safeguarding, GDPR, and child protection proceduresWho are we looking for, someone who is:
