About the Role
Winston Way Academy is seeking a passionate and experienced Behaviour Mentor to play a key role in supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes.
You will work closely with pupils, staff, parents, and external professionals to promote positive behaviour, deliver targeted interventions, and build a supportive and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities
Provide targeted support to pupils with challenging behaviour (1:1, small group, and whole class)Develop and implement individual behaviour plansLead behaviour interventions and monitor their impact and effectivenessSupport the reintegration of pupils following suspension or absenceCoach and mentor pupils to improve behaviour, attendance, and engagementTrain and support staff in effective behaviour management strategiesWork collaboratively with parents/carers and external agencies (e.g. CAMHS, social services)Track behaviour data and contribute to school improvement initiativesAct as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils
About You

Has experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviourCan build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and familiesHas excellent communication and interpersonal skillsIs confident delivering interventions and training staffUnderstands safeguarding, behaviour strategies, and pupil support frameworksIs organised, resilient, and committed to inclusive education
