Job Title: SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant Job Salary: Bucks Pay Range 1B salary linked directly to experience and qualifications of applicant Salary to be pro rata to weeks & hours, example actual gross salary based on 32.5 hours from £18,501 approx. As a SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to provide one-to-one support to an individual pupil with an Educational Healthcare Plan (EHC) whom has specific needs. The post-holder will be fully informed about the needs they are supporting and what the targets set by external professionals are, and how to effectively support these needs. You will work under the direction of class teacher and the Head of Academy to support and deliver planned learning interventions.

Main responsibilities:

Supporting an individual pupil with an EHC Plan Using positive communication to ensure firm, consistent boundaries are set Ensuring the pupils’ understanding of instructions and how to succeed in the task Redirecting the pupils back to the task when their attention wanders Giving praise for perseverance Acknowledging every aspect of good behaviour Supporting pupils in class Supporting small groups or individuals out of class The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal skills In addition, you will also be expected to carry out the following:
