We're looking for an exceptionally talented individual who has significant clinical experience within the acute care.To be a band 6 senior staff nurse within Carroll ward , you will be a highly skilled professional who can make their own mark within our services. You should consider ways of working to deliver improved patient care and organizational efficiencies. You should have extremely good people skills and the ability to take services forward.
The Units aims to deliver a high standard of care so we will be looking for the right candidate to help us take it one step further and enhance our service delivery program in line with changing local needs.
If you are hardworking with proven clinical experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills, good leadership skills and experience of working in acute and emergency medicine we would like to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be supported by the a Ward Manager, two ED Matrons and a Head of Nursing all of whom are responsible for leading the ED Teams.
Carroll ward is an ED observation ward looking after both bedded patients and ambulant patients.
Our Emergency Department sees over 100,000 patients a year and over 100 LAS attendances per day, and have an integrated Paediatric Emergency Department and an Urgent Care Centre.
In the department we are supported by various different multidisciplinary teams, such as STARRs and Frality team, to enhance patient experience and care
