The Partners of Park Medical Centre in Hoole Chester are offering an exciting opportunity for a new Practice Manager to join our forward thinking and innovative practice team.
We are currently looking to appoint an experienced manager, or someone who is ready to step up into the role, who has excellent interpersonal, managerial and leadership skills. We are looking for someone to lead and inspire our friendly, patient focused team, and to support the GP Partners in developing and evolving the Practice, so that the practice can continue to provide excellent patient care whilst adapting to the ever-changing challenges and demands of Primary Care and the NHS.
Our new Practice Manager will be a pivotal member of the practice and will be expected to lead and support the practice team to achieve its aims and objectives with total professionalism. The successful candidate will play an important role in managing and developing the business side of the practice, supported by members of the Operations Management team.
They will be forward thinking with skills to develop the practice management role and not be afraid to lead partners in their decision making and/or make suggestions. They will have the ability to cope with the stress of multitasking and to manage change.
Main duties of the job
The successful person will be required to optimise efficiency and ensure that the practice achieves its long-term strategic objectives in a safe and effective working environment.
They will be competent in all aspects of core practice management, be able to manage a varied workload and be responsible for all aspects of practice functionality. This will encompass financial responsibilities, operations, patient services, digital systems and IT, HR and compliance including CQC and Information Governance regulations, NHSE contract delivery and performance, premises management including H&S and strategic management including internal and external stakeholder relationships.
They will provide leadership, business acumen and management skills to enable the practice to achieve our agreed aims and objectives of:
Securing the future profitability of the practice. Proactively engaging with the whole practice team, supporting all members of staff to enable them to excel at their individual roles.Upholding the practice reputation for delivering high quality services through an efficient, safe & effective working environmentAnalysing the effects on the practice of forthcoming changes in the NHS and providing the Partners with options for responding to change. Managing the increasing demand from patients and regulatory compliance that we deal with.A manager who has excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.Full time (37 hours) or part time in a substantial role (from 32 hours)

Park Medical Centre is a thriving and longstanding training-accredited GP practice in Hoole, Chester. The area is well known for it's bustling high street, diverse range of shops, cafes & restaurants, and strong sense of community. We use OPTUM, Docman, PACO & AccuRx systems for clinical work and offer a mix of face-to-face, telephone & follow-up appointments. We outsource payroll, use a HR service for support & iGPR for private work, managing all other business functions in house.
We train GP registrars, medical students and nurses. We operate a digital front door system with clinician led triage, supported by a triage admin team & work closely with our local pharmacies.
We received a rating of Good in all areas in our CQC inspection in Oct 25. We have an active PPG who represent the views of our patients, who feel listened to & make suggestions for improvements which are acted upon.
We are members of Chester East PCN & actively participate and work collaboratively with the 3 PCN practices, covering a combined population of 39,000 patients.

Analysing the effects on the practice of forthcoming changes in the NHS and provide the Partners with options for responding to change. Manage the increasing demand from patients and the regulatory compliance that general practice deal with.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to deal with the wider health economy, including Primary Care Networks, NHSE, ICB, GP Federation, Secondary Care and Patient groups.
Taking a strategic role within the practice, be responsible for all aspects of practice functionality; optimise efficiency and ensure that the practice achieves its long-term strategic objectives in a safe and effective working environment.

Experience in managing finances, including book-keeping and cash flow forecasting. Experience in Payroll, PAYE and Pension provision for employed staff Experience of working with the general public. Experience of leading and line managing a multidisciplinary team, including operating performance & management processes; recruitment, appraisals, staff development, disciplinary & grievance procedures, work force planning forecasting & development. Proven track record in motivating/managing staff in a changing environment Experience in general practice or other parts of the NHS Experience of successfully developing and implementing projects Experience of health and safety requirements and needs within a small business
