Job summary
Our Catering Supervisors help keep patients, staff and visitors fed. you could be working into one of our cafes or supporting our patient meal service. the role is varied and interesting and there will be lots to keep you busy, we provide important services and it's rewarding work as we support better care.
Main duties of the job
Providing day to day supervision of Catering Assistants
Ensuring the quality of the catering service
Ensuring that procedures are followed, including food safety checks and risk assessments, completing all records as needed.
Producing staff rota's and arranging cover when needed.
Undertaking cashier duties during service times and take responsibility for cash handling and security: hold and reconcile floats including vending income.
Visiting wards regularly to assess food waste and carry out kitchen inspections.
Speaking with service user's and wards about food service.
Proposing changes to improve service.
Reporting faults and repairs for client and company equipment and building issues.
Recruiting new starters and training and supporting them as they start work.

Pay: Band B (£14.64 per hour)

Experience Essential
Experience of different types of food service Experience in a supervisory role Experience with cashier duties and operating a till
Education & Qualifications Essential
Recognised catering Qualifications such as NVQ Level 1 & 2 NVQ Level 3 supervisory qualification or equivalent Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate
Skills & Knowledge Essential
Sound knowledge of food preparation and food service in-depth knowledge of hygiene and health & Safety legislation, including COSHH Able to meet the mobility requirements of the role
