Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Haematology Pharmacy team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. As a valued member of the multidisciplinary team, you will support the continued expansion of clinical pharmacy services across the ambulatory care unit, haematology day unit and outpatient clinics.

You will work within a forward-thinking and supportive team, contributing to the care of patients receiving increasingly complex and innovative treatments. This role offers excellent opportunities to develop specialist knowledge and gain practical experience in advanced therapies, including CAR-T and other novel treatments.

We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and patient-focused pharmacist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the ongoing development and delivery of our Haematology Pharmacy service.

Main duties of the job

To manage and develop a high quality patient focused clinical pharmacy service to Clinical Haematology a To work as an integral member of the haematology pharmacy team jointly providing a comprehensive clinical pharmacy service to haematology patients, multidisciplinary team and provide highly specialist support to the wider pharmacy team in this area. To lead and provide expert advice on pharmaceutical matters within Clinical Haematology, ensuring adherence to national guidelines and medicines legislation. To facilitate and support the efficient and cost effective use of medicines with a particular emphasis on high cost drugs. To manage, develop, train, motivate and encourage staff working within the team

Person Specification

Education/ qualifications Essential

Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent Member of the GPhC Higher degree or diploma in clinical pharmacy

Desirable

BMT/CAR-T passport (or equivalent) demonstrating JACIE accreditation BOPA Digital SACT verification Passport (Haematology) or equivalent Independent Prescriber

Experience Essential

Post-registration training and experience in hospital Pharmacy This must include a solid grounding in all aspects of hospital pharmacy practice (medicines information, aseptic services, ward services and dispensing) Previous experience in delivering training and education Practical Clinical experience working in Haematology services

Desirable

Experience of managing change Experience of using electronic prescribing systems e.g. Cerner

Skills/knowledge/ abilities Essential
