Endoscopy is one of the most rapidly evolving areas in healthcare, offering cutting-edge diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This role puts you right at the heart of that work supporting patients through their pre-assessment and ensuring they receive safe, seamless, high-quality care.

You'll work with a diverse caseload of in-patients and out-patients, using your clinical expertise to assess, plan and coordinate care. We're looking for someone with at least 12 months' acute experience. Endoscopy experience is a bonus, but not essential - we'll provide full training and competency support.

This role requires an active UK NMC Registration

Base Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital. - Please note cross site working is required for this role.

Qualifications Essential

Nursing and midwifery PIN number 1st level Registered Nurse

Desirable

Teaching Qualification Physical Examination of the Adult qualification Post register course related to speciality

Experience Essential

sound knowledge and relevant experience in an acute hospital setting

Desirable

Pre Assessment experience Endoscopy/ Gastro experience

Technical Skills Competencies Essential

Venepuncture & Cannulation Basic IT skills Working knowledge of eCamis and EPR ECG Knowledge

Desirable

Working knowledge of Dorset Care Records / HICSS Up to date consent training

Knowledge Essential

Evidence of good anatomy and physiology knowledge Fundamental nursing knowledge Basic Knowledge of Endoscopy procedures Evidence of professional development
