We are looking for dedicated and dynamic staff to join our experience obstetric teams to support in the safe delivery of maternity care . We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic people, to join our expanding theatre department delivering a 24 hour service.
Experience in the department is desirable but not essential. You will join our extensive theatre team with multiple skills to enable you to gain further knowledge and advance your career.
This role requires: NMC registered Nurse (Advanced Diploma/Degree in Adult Health Nursing) or HCPC registered ODP (Dip (HE) OperatingDepartment Practice

Main duties of the job
To deliver safe quality care for patients during their perioperative phase of care.
To support andassistin the management and organisation of care provision within theOperating Theatre Department.
Promote good working relationships and collaborative working with the multi-disciplinary team, both within the department and the rest of the Trust.
To apply and promote bestevidence-basedpracticewithin own scope of practice.
Act as an effective role model by developing anddemonstratingeffective organisational and leadership skills.
To contribute to service improvements.
To act in a manner in keeping with the relevant code ofconduct.
To uphold and enhance the good standard and reputation of the trust

Qualification Essential
NMC registered Nurse (Advanced Diploma/Degree in Adult Health Nursing) or HCPC registered ODP (Dip (HE) Operating Department Practice
Desirable
Learning and Assessing in Practice (or equivalent teaching/mentoring qualification)
Knowledge Essential
Working knowledge of basic operating department routine and surgical specialties undertaken Understanding of the surgical patient pathway through the hospital
Personal Attributes Essential
Highly motivated Aware of own limitations and prepared to seek guidance if necessary
Desirable
Situational awareness and management of self and others (Human Factors)
Experience Essential
Experience of caring for patients with acute and long term conditions Able to recognise the deteriorating patient
