About this role

Job summary

We are looking for Volunteers to join our admin team in Carlisle!

The main purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to the People Services team.Under the guidance of the volunteer lead, the volunteer will undertake a variety of tasks including alphabetising staff files, scanning and filling into staff records. Some use of the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) system will be required however, training will be provided.

Good level of IT literacy including Microsoft Windows and Office Good organisational and computer skills Good social and communication skills Be able to maintain confidentiality Can provide one morning or afternoon a week

Main duties of the job

What tasks can this role include:

Alphabetising staff documents Scanning and photocopying into staff records Filing staff notes into staff records Utilising ESR to support document management Electronic document management on Network Drives and SharePoint Spreadsheet/Excel usage for management of documents and archiving Physical movement of paper files and archive boxes Assist with management of SharePoint and Network Drive folders of staff records. Use a developed HR records archiving tool to record destruction of records. Movement of paper records singularly and in archive boxes.

On 28 November 2020, the new Disclosure and Barring Service filtering rules will come into effect.

The changes mean that:
