Finance Manager F/M - International Company Reference: LU879737 Luxembourg EUR 85K - 95K per year Permanent Aerospace and Defence Apply now Morgan Philips Executive Search is recruiting a Finance Manager on behalf of an innovative, fast-growing international company with operations in Luxembourg and the UK. This opportunity is particularly suited to someone who has worked in an international organisation, SME or startup, ideally within a lean finance team, and is comfortable combining operational responsibilities with the development of financial processes and systems. The position offers significant autonomy, exposure to senior management and potential progression towards a Head of Finance role. Key Responsibilities • Finance Operations: Manage day-to-day finance activities across Luxembourg and UK entities, including AP/AR, payments, bank reconciliations, treasury and cash management. • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly management reports, support budgeting, cash flow forecasting and financial modelling, and monitor project expenditure. • Accounting Oversight: Coordinate external accountants, oversee month-end closing activities, review accounting deliverables and manage intercompany reconciliations. • Procurement & Cost Control: Oversee supplier payments, procurement processes, expenditure approvals and financial commitments. • Finance Systems & Processes: Implement and improve financial tools, reporting systems, internal controls and operational procedures. • Grants & Contracts: Monitor grant-related expenditure, prepare supporting financial documentation and track reporting requirements. • Business Support: Work closely with senior management, operational teams and the external CFO to provide financial insights and support business decisions. Your Profile • 6–8 years of hands-on, end-to-end finance experience, covering accounting, treasury, procurement, financial reporting, financial modelling and systems implementation. • Experience in Luxembourg is required. • Experience within an international organisation, SME or startup, where you have been directly involved in the full finance function. • Strong operational accounting background, with the ability to independently handle financial transactions, cash management, reporting and month-end activities. Experience limited primarily to external audit would not be sufficient. • Proven experience implementing or improving finance processes, systems and internal controls, rather than solely working within established structures. • Experience coordinating external accountants and managing multi-entity operations. Knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP is an advantage. • Relevant accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) is desirable. • Fluent English is required; French is an advantage.
