Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is delivering a major redevelopment programme to transform healthcare facilities across the region. This includes building new hospital facilities and refurbishing existing sites, both on the main acute campus and within community settings, to enhance patient-focused care.
The successful candidate will gain valuable exposure to areas such as strategic development, procurement, construction, programme management, governance, stakeholder engagement, and communications--providing a unique insight into large-scale NHS projects.
The primary purpose of the role is to provide high-quality administrative support to the Redevelopment Team. This includes supporting general office functions, assisting with project tasks, and providing personal assistant support to the Programme Director.
We are looking for someone who is organised, enthusiastic, and eager to learn. Strong communication skills, teamwork, and a flexible approach are essential in this fast-paced environment. You should be IT literate and confident supporting colleagues across a range of tasks to help deliver this high-profile programme.
Main duties of the job
To develop good relationships with all stakeholders, including Contractors, Suppliers and Sub Consultants to the Trust, supporting the Hospital's Redevelopment Programme.
Carry out general office duties and provide secretarial/administrative support including diary management to the Redevelopment Programme Director and Senior Team.
Support managing the Redevelopment Inbox and responding to queries as required.
Raise requisitions including ordering and purchasing of supplies /equipment and professional services using the e-Procurement system and updating the PO tracker to keep an accurate record.
Project Equipping; supportwith deliveries and placement of equipment.
