East Kent Hospital University Foundation Trust are now recruiting Band 2 Healthcare Support Workers for William Harvey Hospital in Ashford, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate and Kent & Canterbury Hospital in Canterbury.

The majority of positions are likely to be within our Surgical, Medical and Admission wards as well as the Emergency Department. Full-time and part-time hours (minimum 30 hours per week) are available but nursing is carried out 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year, so we do require full flexibility from you.

Person Specification

Qualifications & Training Essential

Holds GCSE grades D-G or level 1 equivalent in Maths and English

Desirable

GCSE or Level 2 equivalent Maths and English Completed Care Certificate

Clinical skills and experience Essential

Experience of working with people ideally in front line patient care Basic computer/keyboard skills

Desirable

Carries out routine personal care duties with supervision available

Governance Essential

Adheres to Trust policies Will comply with the Data Protection Act, CNORIS, Caldicott Guidelines and local policies regarding confidentiality and access to medical records. Act on the responsibilities placed upon them under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, to ensure that the agreed safety procedures are carried out to maintain a safe working environment for patients, visitors and employees.
