We are seeking motivated Staff Nurses to join our dynamic accredited Endoscopy Diagnostic Centre. As we expand our service and open an additional endoscopy room to increase capacity, we welcome applications for both full-time & part-time working arrangements.
We are a nationally accredited Endoscopy Unit and Bowel Cancer Screening Centre and are expanding our nursing team to continue delivering the high standard of care our patients deserve.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to our patients. Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will demonstrate excellent communication skills and act as a patient advocate, ensuring that patients, relatives, and carers are supported and informed throughout their care journey.

Main duties of the job
Our unit has five busy endoscopy theatres offering a range of investigations and therapies supported by three recovery areas. We have close links with Gastroenterology Outpatients and Clinical Nurse Specialists who help us make the patient experience valuable. We work Monday to Friday, and on a rotational basis a half day shift on weekends and bank holidays for emergency list.
As a Staff Nurse , you will support and assist our team in providing the resource for delivery of upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy, ERCP, bronchoscopy and trans nasal endoscopy as well as patient pre-assessment prior to their procedure.
Previous experience in endoscopy is welcome, but not essential. We are also keen to hear from nurses with NHS experience in other clinical areas, particularly those with backgrounds in theatres, radiology, or therapeutic and surgical intervention procedural environments. Full training and support will be provided.
You will be keen to learn, develop and understand the national quality and safety standards that affect and inform endoscopy services.

Qualifications Essential
Current full NMC registration Evidence of ongoing CPD

Experience Essential
Up to date knowledge of nursing theory and best practice Clinical skills to include the administration of intravenous injections and venepuncture & cannulation. Previous nursing experience in an acute NHS hospital setting
