The nurse must demonstrate safe and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, within general practice settings. Collaborating with the practice team, the Lead Nurse supports patients' needs, policy delivery, and provides nurse leadership as required, meeting the NMC requirement for advanced practice. Additionally, the Lead Nurse supports the Regional Lead Nurse, acts as a deputy when required, and demonstrates clinical excellence in conjunction with the site clinical lead. The role involves implementing and monitoring clinical aspects and helping with nursing design and quality strategies. The ideal candidate should possess a First Level UK registered nurse qualification, be a Non-medical Prescriber, and have extensive experience in Primary Care Health settings and managing nursing teams.
