Job summary
The Medical Directorate invites applications for a position of Trust Grade Registrar for 12 months with the possibility of extension. The post is within the General/Acute Medicine Departments and It is essential that applicants have a minimum of 2 years' experience within General Medicine and have obtained at least Part 2 MRCP.
This is a rotational post across medical specialties within Medicine.
Main duties of the job
Trust Grade Registrar will be responsible together with their team for the management of patients admitted to the ward. You will be expected to attend Consultant ward rounds, case conferences, outpatient clinics and to perform personal ward rounds on the acute patients.
You will be involve with arrangements for inpatient discharge summaries, outpatient letters etc. and the management of other junior staff on the team.
Co-operation and communication with the Management team to ensure the provision of a high standard of service to patients.
Undergraduate medical students are attached to the medical firms of this rotation and it is expected that the Registrar will assist with their teaching. The post-holder will have the opportunity to participate in the acute medicine on call rota within the division.
