Job summary
We are looking to recruit into the role of Management Accounts Assistant. This is a key role within the Community Services team and operates within a wider management accounting function supporting the delivery of high quality financial information and reporting.
You will work closely with the Management Accountants and Finance Business Partner ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions, maintaining stakeholder relationships, preparing monthly management accounts, assisting with the annual budget and audit process, and ensuring timely submission of all management and regulatory reporting.

Main duties of the job
Working within a team of Management Accountants and Assistants to provide robust monthly management accounting and reporting processes
Assist in the preparation and provision of financial advice and support to Trust budget managers and their staff
To provide timely, accurate and relevant financial advice, support and information to budget managers, including support to the Assistant/Management Accountant to service the needs of Operational Directors (ODs), Chief Finance Officer (CFO) and the Chief Executive (CEO)
To ensure that appropriate financial controls are in place and maintained to deliver the financial duties and objectives of the Trust

Person Specification
Knowledge, skills and training Essential
Accounting Technician (AAT) qualification/NVQ Level 4 or proven demonstrable equivalent experience Effective written communication and interpersonal skills to people at all levels within the organisation
Job specific experience Essential
Experience in a financial environment and detailed understanding of accounting procedures
Information Technology Essential
Proficient in the use of all Microsoft software, with advanced skills in Excel
Personal qualities/attributes Essential
Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines whilst producing accurate results
