We are hoping to attract a permanent 4 session GP anda 4 session 12-month fixed term maternity cover GPboth to start in August 2026
(Applications for either role accepted. The posts could be combined for
8 sessions for 12 months then reverting to 4 sessions Aug 27)

You will
Provide autonomous medical care
Conduct consultations This includes face to face, telephone and home visit assessments where required.
Manage acute and chronic conditionsFrom urgent presentations to longterm disease management, ensuring continuity of care.
Prescribing and medication reviews Safe, evidence based prescribing and regular review of repeat medications.
Referrals and investigationsOrdering tests, interpreting results, and referring patients to secondary care or community services
Maintain accurate clinical recordsUsing practice systems to document consultations, results, and care plans.
Contribute to practice targets and QI Supporting QI, enhanced services, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
Support practice governance Participating in clinical meetings, significant event reviews, and safeguarding processes.
Work within the GMS contract framework
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary teamWorking closely with partners, nurses, pharmacists, and administrative staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
Uphold equality, diversity, and inclusion standards
Participate in training and supervision
Revalidation and appraisalSalaried GPs must maintain GMC registration and complete annual appraisals and 5year revalidation cycles.
Engage in CPDKeeping skills and knowledge up to date through continuing professional development.
