*About the Role*
Comfort Inn & Suites Bowmanville is seeking an experienced, motivated, and hands-on General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hotel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hotel management, excellent leadership and customer service skills, and the ability to lead a team while ensuring smooth operations and a positive guest experience.
We are looking for a professional who understands the hospitality industry, can manage day-to-day challenges effectively, and is committed to maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and operational efficiency. Previous experience in hotel management or a similar leadership role is strongly preferred.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring efficient and professional service across all departments. * Lead, supervise, train, and motivate hotel staff to maintain high standards of performance and guest satisfaction. * Ensure excellent customer service and handle guest concerns, complaints, and special requests professionally. * Manage front desk operations, housekeeping, maintenance coordination, and other hotel functions. * Monitor room occupancy, reservations, room rates, and revenue performance to help maximize profitability. * Manage staffing schedules, payroll oversight, labour costs, and operational expenses. * Ensure guest rooms, common areas, and hotel facilities meet cleanliness, safety, and brand standards. * Monitor inventory, order supplies, and maintain effective relationships with vendors and service providers. * Oversee hiring, onboarding, staff training, performance management, and employee scheduling. * Maintain accurate operational records, reports, and administrative documentation. * Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety regulations, employment standards, and hotel policies. * Work toward achieving operational goals, improving guest satisfaction, and increasing overall hotel performance. * Communicate effectively with ownership, staff, guests, and relevant brand representatives.
*Qualifications and Experience*
* Previous experience as a Hotel General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Hotel Manager, or in a similar hotel leadership position is strongly preferred. * Demonstrated knowledge of hotel operations, front desk procedures, housekeeping, and guest relations. * Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment. * Strong customer service skills and a professional approach to handling guest concerns. * Basic understanding of hotel budgeting, revenue management, labour costs, and financial reporting. * Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS), reservation platforms, and Microsoft Office. * Ability to work a flexible schedule when required, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays. * A hands-on management approach with a strong focus on accountability, teamwork, and results.

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
