- You will be responsible for greeting customers and fielding general inquiries about accepted materials, deposit amounts and container sizes.
- Counting containers and recording orders for deposit refund, preparing containers for transport, which may include sorting, crushing and loading product onto trailers.
- Performing general cleaning and upkeep of the depot building and yard.
- Performing physical work, repetitive tasks and standing for long periods of time.
- Operating point of sale system if needed.
- To be successful as a Recycling Technician you will need basic reading, writing and numeracy skills, basic computer skills , use of email is required.
- The ability to focus on own work, including sorting and counting containers.
- The ability to follow instructions and ensure tasks are completed in appropriate sequence.
- The ability to communicate with customers and answer questions in a courteous and professional manner. to be dependable and a team player.
Must provide a satisfactory criminal record as a condition of employment.
