Main duties of the job
Therole includes deliveryofindependent ACP-led clinics within agreed scope of advanced practice, managingpatients withstage I-IVskin cancer.
The postwillaspecificfocusoneducationand workforce development,supporting the Skin CancerSpecialistNurse team through teaching,trainingand clinical supervision.
Applicants shoulddemonstrateadvanced clinicalexpertisein dermatology and/or oncology skin cancer services, with a willingness to develop cross-specialty capability whererequired.
Therole requiresactive professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
Base Location:Cross-site working across Poole Hospital, Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Christchurch Hospital
This is a pivotal time for Dermatology and Skin Cancer Services at UHD, with significant opportunities linked to ongoingservice transformation and innovation.
The post holder will:
Work flexibly across all UHD sites (Poole,Bournemouthand Christchurch)
Contribute toservice improvement, innovation, and pathway development
Support the continuous development ofstaff skills,knowledgeand clinical capability
Drive forward improvements that ensuresafe, effective, and patient-centred care

Experience Essential
Demonstrable experience of working independently at a Band 7 Clinical role within relevant specialty minimum of 3 years experience. Experience of leading a team and working in partnership with all levels of staff Service and practice development and managing change Experience in education, mentoring, audit Experience of leading & developing people

Publication/conference experience Team leader
Knowledge and Technical Skills Essential
Demonstrable theoretical and practical knowledge of dermatology specialty common presentations. Ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Clinical reasoning, problem-solving and decision-making skills at an advanced level Demonstrable ability to work in a busy environment and resilience when the service is under pressure.
