Tasks
- Interac with bees based on your knowledge of their biology, behaviour, ecology and caste system.
- Maintain the bee yard and beekeeping equipment.
- Weeding.
- Work with honey bees.
- Maintain farm machinery, equipment and buildings.
- Perform general farm duties.
- Apiary and honey harvesting experience: Apiary management.
- Automated honey extractor.
- Detect bee diseases . Extract honey manually.
- Hypothesize possible causes and solutions to colony collapse disorder (CCD) based on knowledge of bee behaviour, biology and cast system.
- Manage bee colonies for the production of honey and pollination purposes. . Treat bees with antibiotics . Queen bee production from grafting.
- Manage a set of measures designed to protect a beekeeper's honey bees from the entry and spread of pests.
