Tasks: Interac with bees based on your knowledge of their biology, behaviour, ecology and caste system. Maintain the bee yard and beekeeping equipment. Weeding. Work with honey bees. Maintain farm machinery, equipment and buildings. Perform general farm duties. Apiary and honey harvesting experience: Apiary management. Automated honey extractor. Detect bee diseases . Extract honey manually. Hypothesize possible causes and solutions to colony collapse disorder (CCD) based on knowledge of bee behaviour, biology and cast system. Manage bee colonies for the production of honey and pollination purposes. . Treat bees with antibiotics . Queen bee production from grafting. Manage a set of measures designed to protect a beekeeper's honey bees from the entry and spread of pests. Security and safety: Bondable. Driver's validity licence check.
