About us
Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice in Cheltenham is Gloucestershires only inpatient unit for specialist palliative care.
We support people aged 18 and over who are living with life-limiting conditions such as cancer, heart failure and lung disease by combining specialist medical care for managing pain and other symptoms with other emotional, practical and spiritual support.
We are able to provide care on our inpatient unit, virtually and in person though our community hub and in peoples home though our Hospice at Home service.

Were looking for a passionate and experienced nurse to join our Hospice at Home service in the community.
Youll:
Deliver high-quality palliative and end-of-life care in patients homes
Support people to remain where they feel most comfortableat home
Work across Cheltenham, Gloucester and Tewkesbury
Assess, plan and deliver person-centred, evidence-based care
Provide education, mentorship and clinical leadership
This is a role for someone who thrives on autonomy, compassion and clinical excellence.
Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Registered General Nurse with active registration (Nursing and Midwifery Council)
Experience Essential
Post-registration experience in a healthcare setting Experience of working in community or clinical environments Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage workload and prioritise in a dynamic environment Basic IT skills and ability to maintain accurate clinical records Willingness to travel across the community (driving licence/access to transport required)
Desirable
Desirable Criteria Experience in specialist palliative or end-of-life care Experience in community nursing Mentorship or teaching experience Knowledge of current healthcare legislation and best practice
