Job summary
The Safeguarding Adults Specialist Nurse provides expert clinical leadership and specialist advice on safeguarding adults at risk across the Trust. The post holder will support clinical and non-clinical staff to identify, assess, manage and escalate safeguarding concerns in line with the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and associated statutory guidance.
The role ensures that safeguarding adults practice is embedded across all services, promotes a Think Family and Making Safeguarding Personal approach, and provides assurance that the Trust meets its statutory safeguarding responsibilities.

Main duties of the job
Act as a specialist source of advice for safeguarding adults concerns, including neglect, abuse, self-neglect, domestic abuse, exploitation, and complex multi-agency cases.
Provide expert guidance on risk assessment, information sharing, consent, and proportional responses to safeguarding concerns.
Support and, where required, coordinate Section 42 enquiries in partnership with Local Authority safeguarding teams.
Ensure safeguarding responses are person-centred and aligned to Making Safeguarding Personal principles.
