INFICON Aaland is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our Quality & Sustainability department. Please note that the position is based in Mariehamn (Åland, Finland) and requires good verbal and written communication skills in both Swedish and English.
Your Role
As Supplier Quality Engineer, you will lead supplier management (complaints) in close collaboration with our incoming goods inspection team in Mariehamn. You will also work with colleagues across the INFICON Group in Liechtenstein, Germany, and the USA to ensure our processes align with the Group's unified standards.
Responsibilities
Monitor relevant supplier data and drive continuous improvement (CIP) initiatives with suppliersManage supplier qualification and re-qualification processesLead problem-solving (8D) methodology—oversee and guide suppliers' deviation management (complaint resolution)Escalate supplier-related quality issues when necessaryEnsure suppliers comply with relevant quality and regulatory requirements (e.g., RoHS, REACH, Business Ethics, etc.)Support quality processes across the organization Bachelor's degree in EngineeringExperience in similar roles within the manufacturing industryBackground in quality assurance workStrong problem-solving skills with attention to detailPragmatic and solution-oriented mindsetStructured and self-motivated with the ability to drive and coordinate improvement initiatives from start to finishCapable of working both independently and as part of cross-functional teamsSAP experience is a plus What We Offer
