Financial Controller Derby | £70,000 – £80,000 + benefits | Hybrid
The business This is a well-established, privately owned manufacturing and distribution business based in Derby.
The role You’ll be the business’s Financial Controller, reporting into senior leadership. You’ll take ownership of financial control and reporting, and lead a small, experienced team.
Key responsibilities:
Running a tight month-end close and producing accurate, timely management accountsOwning stock control and reporting, including valuation, provisioning, stock counts and reconciliationsAnalysing stock performance, ageing and margins, and turning the numbers into commercial insightLeading the year-end process and managing the relationship with the external auditorsManaging cash flow, working capital and the balance sheetImproving processes, controls and systemsDeveloping and supporting the transactional finance team About you
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)Strong experience of stock: valuation, control and analysis in a manufacturing, distribution or wholesale businessConfident with month end, management accounts and year endHands-on, and comfortable in a growing finance function with a lot to improveA people manager who builds good relationships across the businessAble to work onsite in Derby 4 days a week Why apply?
