Tax Senior Manager or Director
Location: Watford, United KingdomJob Type: PermanentSalary: Competitive Join a leading accountancy and business advisory firm, as a Tax Senior Manager or Director in the Watford office. This senior leadership role is focused on delivering strategic tax advisory and compliance services to Owner Managed Business (OMB) clients. The successful candidate will provide expert guidance across the full business lifecycle, ensuring tax efficiency and compliance while acting as a trusted advisor.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
Define and implement strategies to grow the OMB client base, increasing revenue and profitability.Provide strategic guidance on business structuring, shareholder arrangements, and group reorganisations.Advise on profit extraction strategies and succession planning, including inheritance tax planning and wealth preservation.Support business owners through transactions ensuring tax-efficient structuring.Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns and filings, ensuring compliance with UK tax legislation.Monitor UK tax legislative changes and advise clients on implications and planning opportunities.Build and maintain strong relationships with OMB clients, acting as their primary trusted advisor.Identify cross-selling opportunities to enhance client value.Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing tax team, setting clear performance objectives.Manage a portfolio of OMB clients, with responsibility for significant annual revenue.Ensure robust risk management processes are in place for tax planning and advisory work. Required Skills & Qualifications:
ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualification (CTA strongly preferred).Proven ability to inspire, manage, and develop high-performing teams.Exceptional interpersonal skills to build and maintain trusted client relationships.Deep understanding of market dynamics and business opportunities.Strong problem-solving capabilities to address complex challenges.Uphold the highest ethical standards, ensuring compliance and accountability.Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.Excellent communication skills and strong analytical skills.
