Workshop Operative Location: Bishop’s Stortford Salary: £29,000(Plus monthly bonus after probation period) Hours: 8:30am – 5pm, Monday to Friday Permanent
RecruitAbility are looking for a practical, hands-on Workshop Operative to join a well-established company near Bishop’s Stortford.
If you enjoy working with your hands, have some practical experience and are willing to learn, we’d love to hear from you. This role could suit someone with workshop, assembly, production or other hands-on experience. You do not need an electronics qualification or previous experience as a technician. Full training will be provided, including soldering and product testing, so attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn are just as important as your previous experience.
What you’ll be doing Assembling and working on electrical and electronic productsTesting products and identifying basic faultsCarrying out simple repairs and adjustmentsUsing hand tools, testing equipment and soldering equipment, with full training providedFollowing straightforward drawings and instructionsCompleting basic paperwork and working with the wider workshop teamFull training will be given.
