Teaching Assistant - Junior School, Chatham
Location: Chatham, Kent Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-Time
A welcoming and supportive Junior School in Chatham is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children in their educational journey and helping them achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities:
Support pupils in the classroom to enhance their learning and engagement.Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce lesson objectives.Assist the class teacher with preparing learning resources and classroom activities.Encourage positive behaviour and help create a safe, inclusive learning environment.Support pupils with additional learning needs where required.Supervise children during lessons and other school activities. Requirements:
Previous experience working with children in a school setting is desirable.A positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is essential.Right to work in the UK.
